PayPal Alternatives?
 

After being on this forum for a few weeks, I see the many people continue to return to PayPal. Why do most people here not go with PayPal alternatives such as merchant accounts? I found one called "merchantinc.com" and it seems to be promising though I have not signed up yet.

I pretty much have my methods for getting back on to eBay set up, but getting on to PayPal is going to be a challenge for me (addresses, SSN/EIN, possibility of them requiring photo ID or proof of address). Is it worth trying to get back on PayPal or would a merchant account be just fine? I resell high end designer bags (average sale is around $550) and was planning on building my way back up on eBay over the next 12 months.

When you can find an alternative that works flawlessly with Ebay...you let us know, you think were all a bunch of lazy-asses and have not looked? guess again. People (buyers) have been brainwashed to only use PayPal for their purchases. If you aren't doing some sketchy stuff you should be fine.

Sadly eb stuffs pp down buyer's throats - if you are looking at being on eb, you will need that active pp for smooth operations.

High end designer bags are quite the risky items...
