TIN doesn't match business name IRS records on REAL account
 

I have a real verified account. I opened an LLC, provided them with my business name and TIN number.

Now they are saying the IRS told them it doesn't match. I literally have a letter from the IRS sitting in front of me giving me the buisness name and number that is exactly what I have on paypal. I even called the IRS and they said all the information matches.

So now my account is limited. Can't receive payments, till i MAIL IN my w-9, wait for them to contact the IRS, wait for the IRS to contact them. This is silly.

ANyone else run into this problem? I'm running a legitimate business. This is insane.

got the same thing and then they requested a copy of my social security card which I sent in. I'm good to go now

Does the name match exactly? Including capitalization, punctuation and everything else? If not, the IRS will return a "not match".

Otherwise it sounds like a paypal error and you'll have to send them what the want....unless you can call and have an understanding rep who will let you try again.
