Question: Why can't client send me money?
 

I have a client trying to send me money through the friends and family option.

It will not allow them to, instructing them to contact Customer Service.

The stealth PayPal is 3 months old, all verified, and linked to an eBay that has perfect metrics and feedback.


Is this something I should be concerned about? Or is it likely on their end?

Is this clientis sending repetitively and systematically money to your PayPal or was just one time payment?

It could be an issue on their end - worth bearing in mind.

I tend to advise people to steer well clear from friends and family, especially on premature accounts - just attracts undue attention.

Have you asked them how old their account is? What they are trying to fund the payment with?

Just a one time payment. First time ever.

Yeah they did it without me asking, kind of frustrating for me but obviously they didn't know I would not like it so I don't put blame on them.

No I just instructed them how to pay me differently.

I'm hoping it was on their end.

Yes, when new paypal users think they know everything...

Have had to deal with one who did not even know to think about verifying their account and tried to pay US$1100. Then complained to me I had issues.

A none too gentle slap sorted them. They were lucky not to have been limited.
