Using Paypal Stealth on Own Website

Hi there,

I have just set up a new Paypal stealth account successfully which I plan on using for an ebay stealth account once verified.

I also have a shopify website which I sell on. I used to accept paypal payments through this website until my paypal account got suspended, However as my website was not marketed much I probably only made a handful of sales through the website which were processed by Paypal.

I was wondering if it is safe to link my new stealth paypal account to accept payments through this same website? Or will this link me?

If so, should I avoid this by either A.) Changing my website personal information, B.) Changing my domain, or C.) Creating a whole new shopify page and re-doing the whole website (would rather avoid if possible!)

If anyone has any expertise in this area that would be much appreciated :)

Thanks :)

It will link, as far as I can tell. The domain will be recorded and they will track back if your new stealth account ever gets reviewed again.

Welcome to the forums - all the best as you master stealth :thumb:

Paypal in all likelihood can see the source of payment and track you back OP, linking you

Thanks guys :)

So would changing the domain be enough? Or would I need to redo the whole website?

Even if not necessary, it's probably best to do what you didn't want to do which is (C). You only had a handful of sales on the site so you don't really lose anything but a little time setting up again. But, at least this way you will know that you did everything you possibly could to reach whatever your ultimate goal is.

New domain should be all you need to do... though it's interesting this isn't a big deal for you. Most people it's a big deal to change domain name.

I suspect with Shopify it's easy to update the domain name and you forward the old domain to the new one? That's what I would do anyway.

You'll also want to understand why PayPal limited your account to prevent that mistake in the future.
