| skyichigo | 04-12-2009 12:38 PM | Does Paypal Record your bank details? Hi, everyone
Just find interested question here,
Does Paypal actually really record your bank details?
I mean when you verified your paypal acc by adding bank acc number, and get 2 small deposits, after that remove the bank acc links.
Can I still use the same bank acc details to verify another paypal acc?
And how if one of them get suspended, can it links other paypal acc together?
Thanks

When you added your bank info, yes paypal stored the info in their data base. If you remove the bank info for some reason, the info will remove from their data base too.
But think about that, u added a bank, with 2 small amount of deposites, and then suddenly remove the bank. It will raise up the red flag as lead to limitation. |
| oompaloompa | 04-12-2009 01:08 PM | nope closed a paypal, 2 years later added same bank account to another paypal, (different address), still going.. cant recommend just my experience, i kind of did it through bad memory. |
| yaw1800 | 04-12-2009 04:34 PM | PEOPLE... THIS IS NO DIFFERENT THAN USING A CREDIT CARD TO VERIFY DIFERENT PAYPALS OR EBAY FOR THAT MATTER.. THOSE ACCOUNTS WILL BE LINKED
if you dont mind those accounts being linked, then you can remove the bank account and add it to another paypal..but i think to do this would be pretty stupid... plus the other paypal would go back to being "unverified"
Just like HWGA says
1 bank - 1 paypal |
| lakeman | 04-12-2009 04:52 PM | yaw1800 is right, even if you remove the bank account from your paypal it is still recorded, therefore causing a link to your the new paypal account you put it on. That's just like changing your address or other info, they know all the previous info you have ever had on the account. |
| EbayFreak | 04-12-2009 04:59 PM | I Agree never use the same bank account for a new Paypal account. You will get linked for sure. Just go to the bank and open a new account, or look online enough places that sell bank account for verification. After that there are enough option to get your money out of your account. |
| Here We Go Again | 04-12-2009 06:23 PM | PLEASE READ the forum a little bit....
I have posted this EXACT information about 200 times: 1 eBay account = 1 Paypal account
1 Paypal account = 1 Checking account
1 Checking account = 1 credit card NONE of the above items should EVER be used on a 2nd account.
You will be linked to the old account in about 3 seconds.

1. Don't trust what they say on their webpage
2. Don't listen to their words on the phone, or take it seriously
Here are some examples below, I hope you guys could add more:
A paypal staff used to tell me to pay my ebay fee with any paypal account I have. It is ok, and nothing bad will happen.
When you get limited, they tell you to follow steps in resolution center to solve it, but there is nothing there.
A paypal account gets limited, and you want to remove the bank account from it. It always tells you "there is some technical problem, please come back later to remove the bank account". |
| skyichigo | 04-13-2009 09:31 AM | So, is there any source of bank account for paypal verification for sell??
We are so unlucky here in AUstralia where we need Bank acc for full verification...
Not just credit card...I just simply need bank account for verification, that's all..
Not thinking about withdrawing the money anyway..
Thanks |
| GreenBean | 04-13-2009 09:40 AM | What do you mean? There are plenty of banks in Australia that can be used for paypal. OR is the problem you have no ID to obtain an account?
You asked this in one of your first posts& were given advice. Have you a bank account at the moment? If you have, either ring the bank or go to your branch and open a new account. YOu can have the same BSB but a different account number. Then you will have what you need. You have to make sure that the account will accept Direct debits.
If you have no bank account (which I do not think true), then you must have enough ID even if you are here on a student visa. Seems you are making things too hard for yourself |

Why do you need more than one?"
And I am stunned...I can not just tell them that it is for business / ebay purposes.. |
| RimmingTon | 03-10-2010 07:41 AM | I removed a US bank account/ACH card from a non-US PayPal a few weeks ago, just added it to a different non-US PayPal without issue but it's not had micro deposits sent.
Very strange, they obviously keep record. |

| RimmingTon | 03-12-2010 10:06 PM | If you have enough liquid hanging around that you can risk getting tied up for 180 days, why not...
If not, no. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:34 PM. | |
