Question about Paypal 21 day hold workaround

Hi everyone, I learnt from other forums, as soon as you mark item shipped and provide a tracking#, once the item is delivered, paypal will release the funds less than 21 days? Also if you refund 1 cent to the buyer from the payment, the funds will no longer on hold too. Are these methods still working? Any other workaround? Thanks

Re: Question about Paypal 21 day hold workaround

The standard is the money being released 3 days after tracking shows delivery has been made.
And no refunding a cent will not release the funds. That was a loophole that existed years ago and they closed it up a very long time ago.
And no theres no workaround. Meet the requirements (90 days from first sale, 25 successful transactions and 4250 in total sales) and provide good service and in time those holds are removed.

That 1 cent refund died about 6 years ago.

These days, even the tracking number being supplied is not a given for speedy release.

If the item is been delivered and with a signature confirmation, but the buyer file a complain or a dispute during the hold, does paypal still favor in the buyer?

Re: Question about Paypal 21 day hold workaround

Depends entirely on the situation and the dispute.
Has nothing to do with the 21 day hold. The funds will be placed on hold immediately again if a dispute is filed - even if they were released before. If you do not have funds available the account will go into a negative balance. this means youll likely lose the account if this negative balance is not resolved. Pretty high price to pay if you ask me and if youre serious about stealth and are planning long term activity on the account - or might not be a big deal if youre running a 'turn n burn' operation in which case you should rethink your 'action plan' and the forum youre posting on to begin with...

Sadly, it might be written. But paypal finds reasons to not follow their own rules.

A lot of what they do is because of scammers and people trying to pull fast ones.

Its done people a lot of people will try to withdraw the money and do a runner without delivering any goods.

PayPal have holds to protect both buyers and themselves from finical loss. It is a pain to deal with granted but it usually only last a few months.

Re: Question about Paypal 21 day hold workaround

From my experience even if no tracking is added as long as it is marked as shipped the funds are released within 14-16 days.

I had to call to get my payments released even though I supplied tracking and it was delivered.
