Old eBay account but no selling history. What to do??
 

Hey guys,

I have been stung by PayPal and had my account limited, i'm sure for a good reason, said reason unknown to myself.

I have access to another eBay and pp account completely separate from mine.

The account is a number of years old which I understand is a good thing and the linked PayPal is fully verified, however there has been no selling activity, ever. It has about 10 feedbacks in the past year.

Question is: what approach should I take when attempting to sell on this account. For new accounts one should of course start very slowly and build it up. I was wondering, due to the fact the account is a few years old is it less risky to start selling larger quantities from the off or is it treated like a new account due to the lack of selling history?

If there is no selling history on the eBay account then its a new account with Re to selling so you still have to take it slowly

Basically you have to treat the account like a new account. You will most likely encounter 21 day holds on the PayPal end also. On older eBay accounts I have found that a month of trouble free selling can get you a good selling limit increase if your limits on the account are low to begin with.

Max out your selling limits on low risk items... No Transaction defects... Ship on time...

Also,
Start a new new stealth Ebay & PayPal be sure to follow the stealth rules..

Like rsot said... Sometimes we are linked from beginner mistakes.. I was when i was in your shoes...

Thanks for your responses, I am certain that the account i'm talking about has been pretty much dormant and I can't recall ever logging in to it on the blacklisted IP.

I wanted to purchase the stealth guide but every link i'm getting to goes to the same place where it's asking for a monthly fee. Am I wrong in assuming that you can buy the guide for around a £30-40 fee for a pdf version? This is the vibe I got from reading other messages on the forum.

In the past there was some trialpay option - not sure if this is still an option however....

trialpay was the option when i bought the guide for a one off fee, not sure if its changed however. this was around 1 month ago.
