PayPal VBA Account Questions
 

OK, I have a few specific questions I would like to see if I can get specific answers to, and I hope this may help others.

I have successfully purchased a VBA from a Forum Seller, and everything seems to have gone through and working as it should, although I am less then 24 hours in. The funds that were being held due to lack of Verification have been released, so all appears to be well.

Question 1 : When I add another Bank Account, which will be a Mis Matched Name Account, may I, should I, or can I not remove the VBA Account?

Question: 2: If I remove the VBA I used for verification, will the account no longer be verified, or will my new account I dd with the Mis Matched Name carry the role of a VBA?

Question 3: I realize this may be an inside secret, or maybe someone will answer, how does a VBA actually verify the account if the name does not match?

I am truly devoted to making this work so I do not have any concerns, and would certainly like to address any issues that may arise before I make a mistake and cross a bridge I can not return on.

1. When I have used VBAs on my US PP accounts, I have left the VBA in place and added a new bank account for withdrawing. You MUST make sure you do not accidentally withdraw to the VBA - always doublecheck your withdrawal account.

2. I can't comment on this because I didn't remove the VBA - I kept it in place.

3. VBA exist only to verify so likely there is no check on the name but the sellers/creators of the VBA will know better (a moot point anyhow)

1. Yes you can but it is not necessary. You can set the new Bank account as your primary one to avoid any issues or mishaps when withdrawing funds.
2. The account will still be verified because you will still have a bank account attached.
3. It verifies the paypal account since youre adding a bank account and verifying ownership of it with paypal. It has nothing to do with the name. The fact is paypal cannot see the name of ANY bank account owner - no matter the bank. The only issue that can arise with certain banks is when withdrawing funds if they (the bank) have an issue with deposits being made from mismatched names (since the deposit will have the name of the paypal account owner associated with it - and it will differ from that of the bank account owner). But this is on the bank side - not paypal's side.
