21 days hold

I have an account is over 100 days since the 1st sale, the account has about 300 transactions, sales over $2000, but still has 21 days hold.
anybody knows why is this?

Re: 21 days hold

Depends on whats being sold and the category its in.

Also, is it on ebays side or ebay AND paypals side?

Re: 21 days hold

The minimum requirements for removing the 21 day holds are:
1. 90 days from first sale.
2. 25 successful transactions.
3. At least $250 in total sales.
You obviously met them but as mentioned above these are MINIMUM requirements and there are no guarantees that these holds will be removed when those are met. In addition, even if the holds are removed they can be placed back on at any time for any reason by paypal.

I have 2 PP accounts (stealth)
Account A
60 days old
2500 is sales
100 transactions
21 day limited
Account B
45 days old
30 transactions
$4200.00 in sales
Limits removed

every situation is very different

Re: 21 days hold

It used to be that if you follow the 90-25-250 rule, payments would automatically come through without holds.

It seems to be different now, some accounts get payments released before I reach the mark, and I've had some that are well past the mark and still have holds. Same categories for each account.

If you continue to sell on the same category and follow the 90-25-250 rule, you will achieve no holds. Tried and tested on 10 accounts, crossing my fingers crossed hoping it will not change. Hahahaha

Re: 21 days hold

My newest PP ( Jan 2017_ ) says sometime along these lines up in the little 'notice' box:

We've changed the way we are handling holds. You now will be able to withdraw XXX dollars per month, the rest will be subject to a 21 day hold.

I made sure to ship the same or next day, and input the tracking number on PP on every sale the same day, and by the end of the month my withdrawl limit had been bumped 6 times In January to $4600.00 and I expect it to get bumped this month also.

It gave me an option to ask for a release limit increase, but I never asked.

HOWEVER,

I had no open cases, chargebacks, lost packages or complaints, and I'm doing between 6-800 sales a month on that account, so I'm guessing my stats look really great.

I also leave several hundred dollars there all the time, so the bots feel as if they're covered for at least a small loss.

Remember, they know nothing about you, all they see is the info you give them, they're not going to want you to pull all the money out unless they think there's no risk to them.

Put yourself in PP's position and act accordingly.

Are you 100 percent verified with PP?

dallis 02-15-2017 10:26 PM

Re: 21 days hold

Verified bank account and email only. No credit card. No phone verification. All stealth info. It DOES have an attached EIN.

If they ever insist I'll do the rest, but for now no reason to.

I run them this way all the time. The pattern of holds relief is very consistent.

I'll stop taking payments on this one a bit before it hits 20K and idle it until next year, and move my activity to a different account.
