Paypal EIN Asking for Last 4 SS???
 

So I'm about at 200 transactions and and paypal needs an EIN... Got that taken care of so I went to go ahead and put that in and upgrade to a business account. The last page is asking me to verify the last 4 of my SS and DOB.

This is a stealth account... What do I do at this point???

You have to upgrade BEFORE the limits take place or this happens.

I've had no luck with correcting this issue at all. You could probably call in and get it done, but I never talk to them if I have a choice.

I just created a new PP business account from scratch with all the same details as the original and put the EIN in when given the option.

It's never caused a problem, and eliminates the EIN issue at 200 transactions at the start.

Sorry off topic, but do you still use the stealth information when upgrading to a business accoutn?

I can't give a solid answer, but I can tell you what I have done many times - type a random 4 digits. I feel like having 4 digits of an SSN is not verifiable at all, unlike the EIN which they can verify. I have never had a problem with a random 4 digits thats all I can say.

I actually did just that, because how many people in the world share the same last 4? Worked out fine for now... need to get another stealth account up and running soon though.
