How can I close my PayPal account?
 

I have an old PayPal account which I haven't used in 6 months.
I wanted to close this account today but I got a message stating that I have outstanding authorizations on this account so they won't let me close it.

My account balance is $0.
I don't have any pending disputes or chargebacks. I haven't use my PayPal debit card in 8 months. I don't have any payment agreement with anyone.

Any idea how can I close this account?

Why do you want to close it? The best way would probably be call paypal and ask them to.

Why? Is it ruined becasue of limitations? For me, I would let it be. Is it costing money to run? If not, use it for off ebay if you want.

You might want it someday. If you ditch it, you may regret it later. If the account is otherwise in good standing, as you say, it is easier to backburner it and reuse if needed - than it would be to appy all over again, especially if they make it more difficult. Also, and aged account brought up from the basement would be better than a brand new baby-PP fresh from maternity.
