UK PayPal with US Phone number

I have a U.K. stealth PayPal and I still haven't changed the phone number on the account. Would it be okay to put a US phone number on the account?

I am not sure if you would run into issues long term though, only time would tell

Have you thought about instead using a UK number and then forming to a US number?
