Can't Confirm My Identity With TracFone??
 

I made a PayPal and verified it with my TracFone. But when I try to make a purchase or lift the 21 day limit. It says it will call me or send me text and I try both and then it just says it's unable to confirm my identity? Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

I'm in the same position. I tried to verify my google voice with sonetel but no joy. Also connecting sonetel account to paypal won't make it. What are the options?

If you're trying to buy something expensive or a payment they otherwise consider risky - especially as your first purchase - they will do this sort of thing.

If it's just a situation where they truly do not recognize you (i.e. new computer with no cookies and new IP), then receiving a text from the phone number they have on file should work.

But like empirestate said, this sounds more like a trust issue. Allow time for Paypal to understand your habits first, and you'll encounter less of these security flags. This means start with small payments first before moving onto larger ones. For 21 day holds, you have to deal with them while you build a positive sales history and then they'll be removed on their own.

I was trying to buy a VCC and VBA from makerviet's website. The total was $27. Do you think that is considered risky from PayPal? And yeah, it's weird to me because it worked when I first made the account. Now trying to make this purchase and when I try to take off the 21 day hold it's like it doesn't want to work. I'm fine with the 21 day hold but it's weird it doesn't want me to make a purchase of $27.

I was going to buy a Verizon PrePaid phone and switch the number because I heard those never have problems verifying with PayPal. But if you think it's a trust thing I should probably just wait then right?

There is nothing u can do, u have to sell something and age your account the old fashioned way, pp has gotten smart and got rid of all the loopholes.
