Hi all ..

can you guys tell me if there are some standard receiving limits for EU accounts?

like is there any known limits on how much an account can receive in a week - month - year before they put holds on the account and ask for some kind of documents?

account fully verified .

At 1800 euro documents get requested
At 2500 euro the account gets limited until documents have been passed by PayPal

thanks for answering . can you tell me, is it possible to get the 21day hold if account is 30+ days aged ?

You can get 21 day holds at any point on an account.

James, could you please confirm, that if you have between 1.8k and 2.5k you can freely withdraw or your account can already get restricted BECAUSE of the EU regulation? Would they normally ask for anything other than an ID and proof of address, if you're selling relatively high risk items, but have no complaints, nor cases against you?

You are misunderstanding.

PayPal will apply limits from any time the account starts to trade.

The amounts mentioned by JamesNorth101 are the required anti-money laundering regulations.


What you must try to understand is PayPal wants to trust the account. Then holds can reduce. New accounts can be asked for documents very often.
