What is going on? I really dont want to have to call paypal if I can avoid to...

its a new account with one sale.

I got money in my new paypal....im buying something on ebay but it redirects me to get text to my number? but it doesnt send a text or call me to get this number....

Is the number VOIP, Physical Phone?

Choose receive call option instead of text, or hit change and put a landline number for a call

paypal rarely links banned phone numbers to accounts,. Infact never happened to me. I've used the same number on 3-4 accounts multiple times but that's just me. You don't have to take that risk

I just tried a good cell phone number...still says name doesnt MATCH the number....YOLO im gonna call them and see if theres a way around this who cares if the account is burned LOL

UPDATE ON THIS ISSUE.

I called and they tried everything....she said changing password sometimes fixes the problem....we never fixed it then she said oh maybe its your ISP lol.
I am changing ISP and will let you know if this fixes it.

This is nonsense from a lazy rep. This paypal text can sometimes occur and there is no easy way around it unless you have the original number still active. Are you trying to text the original number or a new number?

If it is the original number than it is probably a glitch. If you are trying to add a new number, then paypal will not allow this and say they cannot verify your name and number. There are some workarounds that occasionally work, but in most cases, just waiting and building more cookies works.

People use low quality numbers and they wonder why they get low quality results...
