UK Paypal account limited
 

My UK paypal account was limited today after I received two payments of £80 total. I noticed when they asked me for the documents they said i need to confirm my mastercard which I have never been asked before on a limited account. Do you think this means I need another source for my VCCs?

The ebay account wasnt limited and it is still live with two items for sale. The accountt was created on 4th May and had only £133 in the PayPal acount. The items were not high risk. If it was the VCC then I cant understand why they didn't limit it sooner? It was fine earlier in the day but then I received two payments and then it was limited.

Any help?

Confirming a credit card used to be a common requirement on a limited Paypal account. It's certainly been a while since I've seen this step as a requirement on a limited UK account.

Just make sure the card you use is an AVS one (the card needs to be registered to the stealth Paypal address).

Thanks for the response. Im not too familiar with AVS but I didn't even tell the guy I bought it from where the PP address was.

You bought the card from Morrisons and used Morrisons address on PP?

If you didn't give an address then the card on your account will be non-AVS.

For this type of limitation step, the card needs to be an AVS one, at least that certainly used to be the case.
