Transfer To Bank PENDING Help.
 

Hi I withdrew money on Sunday 21st and the transfer says pending still. It's been about 3 days. Usually when I withdraw it says complete within 24 hours. Should I be worried? Should I call paypal?

This is normal. w/d can be pending status for several days, esp. if it's your first time. This is done for a variety of reasons, but mostly so PP can review the transaction for security. I've also found that some of the smaller banks/credit unions can take a bit longer to complete as the money has to go through a third party/correspondent bank to be processed.

Don't call PP yet, as weekends and holidays don't count as "banking days" anyway.

Actually if its 72 hour (doesn't matter if this was Sunday), I have transfers pending 72 hours. Like Nickopedia said, this is PayPal security review on your transfers. This gets triggered when you receive funds and withdraw too quickly. Or in some instances you may see fast transfers from pending to completed in seconds, but start withdrawing daily, this triggers longer bank transfer times within PayPal. Try initiating disbursements within 4-6 from your last transfers and create a pattern so that your transfers go back to instant - 24h, which is the norm.

Credit Unions and banks like TD add an additional time, big Banks may post transfer even the same day, others batch their incoming ACH afternoons others after 12am, banks have a huge factor to play.

same thing is happening to me... always getting transfers (usually 1-2 a week) in the bank the next day. Had a transfer on Tuesday night show up Wednesday. Business has been picking up so I requested another transfer Wednesday night and it didn't show up Thurs. morning, and then another Thursday night and neither of the two have showed up yet on Friday morning. Guess with the holiday weekend, I won't expect them until next Tuesday now!

I understand that it says "transfers can take 3-4 days" but when they regularly complete them in 1 day, it's kind of sucky to change that. Oh well. Lesson learned, I'll go back to one transfer a week I guess.

I'd like to also point out that in addition to the usual security review that all transfers go through, the speed can vary greatly from one bank to anothero

I've found that within the USA, ACH transfers to Citibank usually take 2 business days.
Transfers to Wells Fargo, usally 1 day, sometimes even the SAME day if done before noon Pacific Time.
Chase Bank seems to be even faster, normally see the funds in my account within a few hours after midnight, local time.

I've noticed a few smaller community banks and credit unions take 2 to 3 days, or more.

Normally, from PP's standpoint "Pending" means the transfer in still in process; money still with PP. "Completed" means the money has already left PP's system and en-route via FedWire.
