I don´t understand this - suddenly on hold
 

Hello can someone explain me why I have suddenly my money from ebay sale on hold in paypal?

I had 20+ transactions and every transaction was worth 100$ and these money were available instantly on my account.

Now I had another sale on ebay for like 100$ and money are on hold.

Do anyone know why is paypal doing this? I have 45+ positive reputation on ebay and only 1 negative.

They do this at any given time, they don't have any rhyme or reason of why....they just do it when they want.

No problem, at least you had some that were not on hold....very lucky there.

I have this happen too, I think they do it to suck you in at first with a carrot, then once you get all happy and excited about how well things are going and deeply involved they start beat you vigorously with the stick.

The basic rule for paypal is to hold all funds from new sellers.
The minimum requirements to remove these 21 days holds are:
1. 90 days from first sale.
2. 25 successful transactions.
3. At least $250 in total sales
If you received funds without these holds you were just lucky.
Note that the requirements above are just the minimum ones and these holds can be placed back on at any time and for any reason they see fit.

Yes, it happened to me as well. They do it randomly, just make sure you ship your items on time, they'll eventually stop holding the money. They just want to make sure you do your part as a seller.

Do you mean the 21 day hold?

Or do you mean the 180day hold...

Sounds like OP is talking about the 21 day hold.

OP, You are still subject to one off holds on certain transactions, such as:
* Selling risky items.
* If you become dormant for a period of time.
* If your sales grow too quick.
* If you have a lot of disputes/cases filed against you.
* If a transaction is reported unauthorised.

Here are a few things that will help reduce your 21 day holds down to about 5 days in the meantime:
* Shipping item out on time.
* Submitting valid tracking information to eBay and PayPal.
* The buyer leaving a positive feedback.

Note, just because holds are removed doesn't mean your in the clear. The idea is simple - consistently keep everything in good shape, and you wont experience holds. These holds can come and go at any time. So if there's no holds now, doesn't mean its going to always be like that.
