Is buying Bitcoin considered high risk?
 

I notice a MUCH higher risk of issues if I buy or sell electronics, GoPro's, and other things, and while buying these things is slightly less touchey than selling them, these things (even shopping for) can set off issues even with an established account.

But Bitcoin is something I never tangled with- from your experience, buying Bitcoin with your balance (either direct to a website seller or on FleaBay) has anyone noticed or had reason to feel that buying Bitcoin with Paypal balance is in the realm of electronics and iPhones? Or don't they treat it like a high risk item (in general)....?

Just curious what you've noticed from your experience before I got into it.

Never bought Bitcoin using paypal but I cant imagine it would be a simple matter - especially not if youre using a stealth account. I can imagine the amount of verification the seller of the Bitcoin would request would be massive to ensure he doesnt get chargebacked on the deal.

Sounds like trouble in all caps... I wouldn't use bitcoin on an online purchase unless I had no choice...

You didn't provide the place where you intend to buy from....I think it all depends on the place u buy it from...

I mean if I bought it from an online exchange like Coinbase (though I don't think they are one of the ones that take PP) or on Ebay. Either way, PP would see I was buying Bitcoin, just like they see when I buy iPads or Beats... you think that they would consider Bitcoin as a similarly high risk category? Or not so much?
