PayPal asked for my ssn
 

So I have had stealth accounts for a while and this one I created about 6 months ago wants my ssn. Now I found out the old PayPal account with the suspended eBay account that was banned about 5 years ago had a wrong ssn... if I put the right ssn should I be ok? I hoping that if it's done this way I could not be banned

You cannot use the SSN/TIN/EIN more than once per account. If you try and use an SSN for the other acct, PP will link them instantly.

Even if you call into PP and change the wrong SSN to the right one, they will still retain the old info.

You must always assume PP and EB hangs onto all info, even if changed or deleted; it really never goes away even if you can't see it anymore.

Well the old account had the wrong ssn. So I am guessing that is why PayPal did not tell me it was being used elsewhere

I made a dumb rookie mistake last night. I put the wrong stealth address in when I upgraded the account to business after request for social. I removed that info. What are the chances they notice the link?

Chances are the info is kept. Chances that account goes down because of this? Hard to say - might depend on manual review...your conclusion to make

Get a EIN and use that!

It's the new thing to get passed that but also get a LLC attached to that EIN and upgrade to a busniess account. These accounts are rock solid if you do this.
