$450 return without signiture confirmation still covered??
 

Hey. I just had an issue with an item I bought on ebay. I filed a dispute through paypal, and was told I'd be eligible for a full refund upon confirmed return of the item. However...when I sent the item back, I forgot to get signiture confirmation (It's $450, so the buyer protection seems to require this). Has this happened to any of you? Do you know they are likely to still honor my refund? I can't believe I made such a stupid mistake, but I did...now I'm just trying to get a feel for what I should expect, and what (if anything) I can do to improve my chances of being covered. Thanks!

hmm.. yeah never been in that situation. I would think you'd be fine seeing as they usually favor the buyer anyway. did you pay via paypal balance or credit card? if its credit card I wouldn't worry you can always do a charge back.

yes this happened with me on a $500 item. i called paypal the day it was delivered and they said because i didnt put sig confirmation they would wait 3 days to confirm the seller got the item back. after 3 days the seller never responded so they refunded my money. also the email paypal sent me to return the product to the seller didnt say to put sig confirmtion on the item if over $200

when I paid, it took the money from my attached bank account, so the refund will go to my Paypal balance...no chargeback possibility. Hopefully it will go smoothly as snagga said.

The item arrived and I have emails between the seller and I discussing the item after it's return, so if anything bad happens, hopefully I can just fax them copies of those to assist me. I'll be so mad if I lose my $ AND the item over something as small as this =/

As long as you put delivery confirmation you will be fine....

as long as the seller confirms they got the returned item or they do not respond to paypal within 3 days

Well think, did you abide by the seller's refund policy and return it according to the seller's terms?

Since you clearly forced a refund through paypal, probably forcing a full refunding including the seller's shipping, well the seller isn't going to be too willing to refund you, let alone acknowledge receipt.

i am in a very similar situation.. won the dispute. sent the a 400$ item back with sign conformation.. but the seller is not accepting the item.. what should i do.item is being held at ups right now. please help.

Contact paypal and let them know what's happening.

So long as you know the password, secret question AND all info about the account, there should not be a problem contacting paypal.
B4 you contact them , double check all the info, ALL, and then do it. $400 is too much money to lose. It is an account made by you which by coincidence is stealth;):peace:
