paypal send me letter about sue
 

Hi. my paypal got limited and have negative 2000$ balance. because an asshole buyer not satisfied with what he bought. And my account was limited forever, so i wasnt really worry about it.
Im traveling somewhere right now. and my family say they received a letter from paypal say they gonna sue me.
I dont know if its real or its a prank. do they send letter to people house?

please help me out, thank you!

If that was your real info and you owe them that much money they'll pursue it.
I heard of people getting phone calls and others reported their debit was handed over to a collection agency to collect - which can have an adverse effect on your credit record. Again all this assumes you used your real info.
That's a pretty hefty amount so id say that theres a very high probability that they'll go after it.

Just call PayPal and verify that this is a real letter (probably if you owe that much). After all what did you expect? For PayPal to take it on the chin and be OK with loosing $2000?

This 'asshole' buyer said the product was no good, and you didn't correct the problem, and then YOU stiffed PP for 2K.

Looks to me like the buyer isn't the only a-hole in this situation.

Yeah, they're going to come after you, they're going to win, and you better figure a way to settle this out before the destroy your credit.

This forum is not for giving legal advise, but you should probably dispute the debt and get it validated first, that is if they have your real info.

The reporting to a collection account can cause your credit grief. Consult with a consumer law attorney.
