21 Day Hold
 

Sold an item on eBay and got the 21 day hold scenairo. What is the easiest way to get them to release the funds once I add tracking info? Do I have to wait the full 21 days?

The standard is it will be released 3 days after delivery is confirmed.

It's strange as today I received another payment and it wasn't subject to the 21 day hold, just a 24 hour security check. PayPal is unpredictable.

Fastest way to get it releases it next day delivery with full tracking

That will reduce the holds to around 4/5 working days typically

Leave enough funds in PP to cover any potential charge-back.

I mostly sell small stuff, so $50-100 bucks is usually enough for me.

I think they're less worried about holds when you're not stripping the account down to bedrock and draining it dry every single day.

Strange couple of days:

First the 21 day hold must've come off because I had money available in my PP to withdraw.

Then PP emailed me said my account was limited.

Called them up and asked them why on earth this happening etc. Guy said it was because I was using a VPN and it flagged up.

I played dumb and said it was just my laptop connecting to the WI-FI. He went away for a couple of minutes then said he's removed the limitation!

Sometimes it's good to just call them up and act like you have no clue lol
