You would need to add their address into the PayPal in order to pass the AVS checks but yes its possible

Why contort yourself to make this work when you can buy a gift card for nearly nothing and everything will work fine?

The only reason I can think of is needing a real credit card for withdrawals. A gift card wont work for that.
I still stand by what I said before though - never mix friends and business.

Yes you can but only if your Address are same both in card and paypal
