Trouble with uploading Tracking in Paypal
 

Anyone else having trouble loading tracking information in Paypal? I use Dazzle (Endicia) to print shipping labels, which is linked to all my eBay accounts. When I print my shipping label, it automatically uploads the tracking into both Ebay and Paypal.

Here recently, Paypal has not been accepting tracking information. So I try to manually load it, and I get some king of "technical difficulties" message or some other long message about logging into Paypal again, which didn't work.

It's been going on for a couple days now and I need to load tracking b/c my payments are held and unable to be released unless tracking is loaded and delivery confirmed.

I hope this is fixed soon.

I think eBay upload tracking info to pp instead of your label printing software. I am using ShipStation and lately the same thing happened to me.

Do you have payments in pending status too?

Yea, eBay loads this information in, but for about the past week no tracking is getting loaded into Paypal.

It's possible they've caught on to the fact that tracking numbers are being uploaded for multiple Paypal's from the same postal license #. Who knows. I don't use shipstation so I've always maintained multiple stamps.com accounts because they get your stamps.com account info when you link it to an eBay account. Linking by postal account has always been a concern of mine.

They've been ramping up security big time lately.

Hope it works out though and they haven't silently linked you.

I take that back. I just checked my transactions in Paypal and I guess all you have to do is mark the item as shipped and it automatically loads the tracking. I'm not sure what's going on but the tracking numbers are there now and I did not manually put them in.

I did notice that there has been an update with Paypal lately, so maybe its just glitchy until they get the bugs out. Ah well, as long as the tracking information is there I am ok.

For what it's worth it always takes a few hours for Paypal records to update with tracking numbers in my experience. Generally my stamps account uploads tracking to eBay and then several hours later the tracking number will start showing in Paypal. Were you getting instant postbacks to Paypal before you noticed this?

Yes, with my Endicia account, there is an instant post back to eBay. Paypal usually only takes only a minute or 2. When I get a payment, I will print a label, then minutes later if I go back into Paypal, the transaction link will change to "Track" and you can then track it with that link. This is not happening anymore.

Usually for me, I upload the tracking into eBay and it updates the transaction on PayPal's end within a couple hours, if not sooner.

not sure whats going on, having issues with uploading tracking in Paypal. It shows the tracking number in the details, but the link to track the package isnt there. I hope this doesn't affect my payments being released b/c I have $900 pending.

Doubt it will - though I'm not sure if this is still a concern you have after seeing your other post. Most likely some kind of PP update. Everything has been changing on there lately...

We shall see in a few days. I've got items delivered 9/30 and 10/1 so they should be released tonight or tomorrow. One even got positive feedback already which I thought was usually released right after positive feedback is posted.
