Ready to test new account
 

OK, I think I'm ready to try the system in the eBook. Please let me know if these steps are correct. I need a new PP account for my website, I don't care about getting on eB just now.

1. I'm opening a new checking account, linked to my current ones at my main bank. This one will only be used to link the PP account.

2. Getting a Walmart MoneyCard pre-paid Visa. Costs $3 (on sale this week), I don't think I have to fund it. I'll use a new name and address when I activate it. Does anyone know if the WalMart cards work for this purpose? Do they verify personal info?

3. I am on DSL. I'll get a NetZero dialup account. I'll create a new user on my PC (XP Pro) and only access the PP account from that user, using NetZero.

4. I'll use the physical address of a post office in a city 20 miles away from me (near the NetZero dialup city). When I need PP to mail me something (plan to get the PP Visa at some point) I'll get a PO box there and just add #xxx to the address I gave them. Oh, whoops! Can't get the Visa, it wouldn't be my name.

5. My host company provides a free VOIP toll-free number. I'll activate it and forward that to my cell.

That's it! I think I'm covered. I'm starting tomorrow, opening the new account on the way to work, getting the Visa on the way home. Any thoughts?

That sounds like an ok plan. I haven't used a Walmart card so I don't know if they work but this thread gives some that work for sure.
