72 Hour Hold on instant card transfer (USA)

Long story short i fought paypal through email to get my account un-limited because they linked me to another account with issues. I ended up providing all the necessary information except i couldnt explain the other account, with some convincing earlier this week i got an email saying they have removed the limitation on my account. So I withdrew the amount in the account ($250) instantly through a card already attached.

I thought good i can be finally done with paypal, but immediately i received an email saying there would be up to a 72hr hold on the transfer for security reasons, but if it passed the checks it would clear as quickly as 30 minutes. Well its been about 60 hours since that email and still havent gotten any email (other than an email asking for feedback from my recent experience with paypal support). Is this normal? I dont understand they clear my account but I cant withdrawal?

I believe there are 2 separate problems you are confusing as 1 problem:

The first being that your account was suspended and reinstated

The second being you withdrew the amount in the account, which I assume means left $0 in the account. Doing this can place the transaction under review as paypal will have nothing left in its balance to cover claims or chargebacks

the 72hr withdrawal does happen a lot.

You should get your funds fine in 24 hours time.

When they say up to 72 hours, it will be exactly 72 hours. Check your withdrawal status at the same time you submitted the request, and it will show completed.

Dont sweat it. Things like that usually clear up and the funds go through. But they will eat every minute of the 72 hours up before thy release it.

Alright thanks everyone, i maybe conflating the two issues maybe its just a normal security screening. I'll update if I hear anything at the 72 hour mark.

Yeah when it says that, it will completely at the exact 72 hour mark as someone else said. Same goes for the 24 hour delay message.

Everyone who said it would transfer at exactly 72 hours was correct! Thanks everyone!

Your statement is definitely incorrect.
