Unauthorized purchased when they obviously weren't
 

So there is this specific item that ALWAYS seems to get unauthorized purchased claims on PayPal. No other product receives these.

I ship the item next day, item shows delivered, then 30-60 days later the buyer claims it was unauthorized.

1) Would you realize after you received the item that you didn't order it?
2) The address on file for both eBay and PayPal are the same... so the buyer received it
3) Why wait so long to make the claim?

I have had a claim being reviewed by PayPal for months.

Is there anyway to expedite this claim and have it closed in my favor? Or at least the have item returned to me?

I have called eBay about a very large purchased where someone tried to scam me and they closed the case in my favor over the phone after checking that they used the same IP address and user account/computer to purchase the item... although whenever I call about these smaller transactions they tell me I must wait for PayPal to review the information.

Anyone know any tricks to get these claims closed over the phone?

I had a few of these and was able to win them by using Signature Confirmation (the buyer MUST sign to get the package) and was able to win nearly all of these cases.

The key to winning these disputes is to prove you shipped to the address that is on record in PayPal AND the customer signed for the package. Simply showing "delivered" may or may not be enough to prove this. This goes without saying esp. if your items are high-priced.

people just try to scam, it's a dirty game. get em back

The items are only $9.95 each. I actually just got an email today that their bank confirmed that it was unauthorized but since I am a "valued seller" they will reimbursing me as well. I'm actually surprised Paypal did this
