Brick and mortar banks that are different name friendly?

Heard chase can mess with you if name is different when transferring from PP to bank. How true is that?

What are some other banks that they wouldn't care? Wells Fargo? Bank of America? Federal Credit Union?

Thank you for your time everyone.

Re: Brick and mortar banks that are different name friendly?

There have been some reported issues with Chase holding funds coming in under mismatching names. Someone at this forum claimed they were holding over 12k of their money because it was coming in under different names. That said, many people are using Chase with no problems. Just be careful with them.

Any of the other big banks work fine. I can vouch for Wells Fargo and BofA, both don't seem to care about 3rd party deposits, as does Citibank and US Bank.

So as long as you don't start moving large amounts of money very frequently on a new account, you should be fine.

Are you in the USA? Your profile has no flag so replies are difficult if you are overseas.

I remember reading that, wonder if he got his funds back.

Nice one!

For my USA accounts I have BoA,Chase.

This is also overlooked. There are also Credit Unions that are nice for stealth. You do need to be elegible to join them.

Different names can be tolerated if the account is run carefully.

EG, a savings account getting hundreds of dollars in different names may get flagged.

Hope this helps.

What would you suggest? Start slow with low payments? Consistent payments with amounts and dates? Mixing in normal deposits?

Those are all good ideas, but not all necessary. I just start out slowly and never had a problem
