Postpone selling when your ebay sales are held for 21 days/72 hour bank withdrawl ?
 

Hi Everyone,

I always see threads where people get flamed for having money in their PayPal when they get suspended etc. I find though that a hold can come out of no where.

I have an account where I sell £30 items and sell 3 a day , I have just logged into PayPal after 2 days and have £180 pending.

In this situation would you simply stop selling on that account until that money comes off hold?

Its the same for when a bank withdraw takes 72 hours - would you again stop selling on that account until you 100% sure that money has left PayPal.

I'm just trying to get better at not leaving too much money in my PayPal accounts and need to sure up my methods. Will stop starting my sales have any impact on the strength of my PayPal accounts ?

1. How old is the PP account?

2. If old and you have made withdrawals before, I would keep selling and keep doing solid customer service.

3. For the bank withdrawal, I would not stop selling - just keep the operation nicely rotating.

4. Start building other accounts.

Don't stop selling when 21 day holds hit your account, there will be a minimum amount of sales you need to make without any issues (as well as an amount of time) before the hold is released. Once you've hit the minimum sales just scale back (don't cease completely though) until the time frame has passed. PayPal may move the goal posts further away once you've met the first criteria though. But don't forget the 21 days is the maximum they will hold funds; add tracking details and the funds will be released 3 days after the delivery date and mark the item as shipped and they will be released in 7 days.

As for the 72 hour waits I personally withdraw 10-20% of the balance once the previous withdraw has cleared until the fund instantly withdraw then slowly crank it up.

The best thing to do to not leave too much money in PayPal is to try spread those 3 sales a day to 1 sale a day on 3 separate accounts. At least then if one account goes down you still have two thirds of the funds available.

You need to continue selling and make sure you have tracking uploaded

if you are not in need of that money urgently, then the 21 days is ok. always sells low value items in those accounts.
