how much would you keep in float
 

hey guys

as afar as ebay is concerned how much would you keep in your paypal account just in case people want to return the item etc to stop the account goin negative and requesting the money out of bank revelaing real name

i would rather take the money as soon as i get it but i have to keep levaing money in paypal just in case someone wants to create a complaint

Keep enough to cover a few refunds, IF you are prone to refunding people. If not, don't worry about it.

I keep no less than 25 dollars but I don't sell expensive items either.

I used to keep enough only to cover the ebay seller fees. too risky holding on to it incase

keeping enough money to cover a few refunds is a wise way to manage the account.

I do not want my stealth accounts to run into issues just because I cannot manage to refund a couple of customers. My accounts are valuable to me.

I keep 3-4x the average sale amount at all times when I go into regular selling

Everything you've ever earning, plus a couple grand...

Seriously, though, I leave enough to cover 2-3 times my highest average sale, I never want them dipping into my bank account to cover a shortage.

X3 refunds and one month of fees. But I pay those fees by card.

Ain’t havin’ no dtinkin’ critter like PayPal going near my bank account, ever.

i mostly leave enough to cover my last couple of sales,iusually pay my fees straight away with the one off payment option so never have to worry about not having those covered.

I sell around £2500k a month in items valuing £75-300. I keep £200-300 in available money. If paypal hold money from a sale as they sometimes do i don't include that in my 2-300 reserve
