Question about how long we should wait before Spending dollars After being Paid
 

Hi Guys
If someone paid you an amount of money, I know we're supposed to wait a few days or a week before spending it so that the system doesn't pick it up as a suspicious movement / getting limited.

But is there a certain amount of time ?

I would wait until your package is delivered and message the buyer to leave you a good feedback. I would not withdraw the whole balance but 30-50% of it and withdraw the rest in another couple of days.

^ This is good advise. Just wait for a little while after the package is delivered and feedback received, then take out no more than 50% of the balance, leave the rest in there.

In fact, I personally am a bit more conservative than that even, esp. on a new account. I usually only take out less than 25% of the balance after waiting a week after delivery, then removing just small chunks evey week or two thereafter. Since I'm really in no hurry, it doesn't matter if I leave extra funds in PP, or not. In fact, this looks good to PP as it doesn't raise any red flags.

There is no 100% certain amount of time. Avoid draining the pp account - I like leaving 3-4x the avg sale/incoming amount in the account at all times.

I notice when you start selling threshold for new accounts don't go above 400-500$ for the first month. The lower amount you sell for the first month the better off you are.

Always put tracking numbers no matter if your going to ship it out today or 3 days from now.

Just put yourself in the shoes of a noob seller. Most likely you start an account. Sell one or two items. Then that it.

So take it slow you will have what you want at the end. A functional eBay/paypal account
