Impossible to purchase anything with Paypal balance?
 

PP and ebay accounts nearly 90 days old, 60 sales, no PP claims. Phone verification nonsense and 72 hour withdrawal security bs started around the 60th day. Had 10 transfers and 10 purchases prior to that with no issues. Can't make a purchase anymore using PP balance, although I did call and a rep was able to make it happen. Of course I get the "this phone number does not appear to be registered in your name" message, and the scripted answers from Paypal reps whenever I call. Is it safe to say that buying with paypal balance isn't possible?

Forgot to add, this is a business account, not stealth, fully verified and ssn added. Maybe 4 payment holds out of 60 payments received.

Could be just temporary - impossible for anyone outside of PP to know for sure

something triggered it. what were the balance/money ranges in buying and transfers?

Also can't forget that source of buyer's payment can be in play here - perhaps a risky buyer payment source recently as well

One purchase over $60, all others under $35. One transfer of $55, all others under $40.

Two cards linked to account that aren't prepaid, and a legit checking account as well. First transfer wasn't made until over 30 days after opening of account. No issues buying or transferring for two months, same phone number on account the whole time. No claims against me, chargebacks, disputes, etc.

Try to climb purchases in the future. Dont jump from 35 to 60, etc. Do it in $5 increments to see if that helps.

PP to PP acct transfers may trigger this. I’ve also had problems in past for any received or sent payments from/ to China.
