I know this for a fact since I used instant verification quite a few times over the course of the last few years selling accounts on these forums.
So to answer your question yet again - no it is NOT risky in the least bit to use instant verification.

They track our PC resolution? sounds an awful lot like browser fingerprinting which is commonly agreed here is not a methodology employed by ebay.
Where exactly did you come by this info? id be very interested in hearing this.
