Maybe they used one and the dispute opened? I've had AE disputes not show as a chargeback before. | I can certainly believe this about AMEX cards. I used to have an AMEX Platinum back in the day, but the $450 annual fee was more than I was willing to pay for what I was using at the time.
AMEX nearly ALWAYS sides with the buyer in disputes. Good for the customer, but the merchant ends up getting the shaft in most cases.
I'm not sure this dispute was a chargeback. I have had chargebacks before on PayPal, and they always state it's a chargeback. This is a regular "Not As Described" dispute. Upon checking the original transaction from April 2017, it was an "instant payment" no mention it was funded with a Credit/Debit card.
I'm just a little surprized the buyer could even open a case well past six months at all. |
