Seller Messed up Refund: NEED HELP
 

So I have been using the same company overseas for months and they have been awesome. We have a really good relationship. I ended up receiving the order I placed in mid December and it turns out there was a slight issue. We both agreed on doing a partial refund of 4k. I specifically told them to do a partial refund of the original payment from Paypal.

I wake up this morning and they told me they sent a refund. I check my Paypal account and they ended up sending me 2 payments (goods/services) of 2k instead. :mad2: Besides the fees taken out, the main issue now is that it is in my Paypal Balance, not refunded to my card I used in Paypal. I contacted them and they said if this is a problem let them know (apparently the colleague that did this does not know much about Paypal)

What should I do at this point:

1. Refund those 2 amounts, and tell them to do a partial refund on the original payment made (which I will show them how).

2. Keep this the way it is and just transfer to my bank account.

Anyone have this issue before? Any input/advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

You have your money, don't make it worse by going back and forth. A bunch of crazy back and forth of thousands of dollars, and PP might get their panties in a wad and limit your acount, and then there where will you be?

They can always just send you the missing fees as an additional refund.

Transfer it to your bank and pay back your credit card.

I like your positive attitude since we're still living, just without our wool (money) and that it can grow back. possibly. probably not. but maybe.

How old is your PayPal account? How much is your average transaction and how much was your highest transaction prior to this?

That's irrelevant to the question which is about the botched up refund method.

The cynicism is warranted when the screwing continues.

PP & EB are, in their own way, almost entirely predictable.

People get confused because sometimes they get away with things for a long time and get cocky and complacent, but when the rules are suddenly enforced they think PP & EB are unpredictable.

Follow the rules and 99% of the time you'll be just fine. Most people create their own problems and don't want to admit it.

If I had a dollar for everybody who said "but there are other VERO listings everywhere just like mine, why didn't they get punished?', I'd have a lotta dollars. :)
