Paypal: all I need is account number and sort code?
 

I've been watching a video on youtube.
The guy says... have your own bank accounts.
Give the name for the account to be whatever you want - they have no way of checking this.

Is this true?

Not sure I understand your question exactly?

Are you saying you can choose any name for your bank account, or for PayPal?

Normally, the name on the PayPal doesn't have to match the bank account, but you can't just open bank accounts in some other name if it's not you, or a business/entity you represent.

To clarify, you open bank accounts in your real name and details.

You can add your bank accounts to paypal. The name mis match does not matter. Paypal dont see the name on the bank account.

i think i got my answer.

- you have a paypal account in a friends name
- you attach your bank account to the paypal account

paypal don't care (or have no way of knowing) if the bank account matches the paypal name

Thats pretty much it.

Though no need to use friends accounts when you can have stealth accounts :)

Stealth accounts... what about declaring income...?
Sure the original account holder has implications?

One problem if using a friends name... you have £xx,xxx income going through their name say for example.... then the inland revenue wants a piece of the income. Not a problem - happy to pay taxes - but then this makes it all so complicated in regards the name used. You now have to do accounts - which is not simple, since you then have to account for their real income?

Boy are you headed for the most serious trouble you can possibly imagine.

Using a friend's identity to generate taxable income... with friends like you, that person doesn't need enemies...

Declaring income is done with financial professional.

Using bank account with stealth name is one of the cardinal stones of stealth - time to master it.

now i am totally confused.

how can you hide income - even using a stealth.
or am i understanding wrong...?

is this the correct interpretation: using stealth... you are simply hiding from ebay/paypal - but not to anyone else. any income is coming to you through your own bank account. correct?

the stealth account... does it remain the possession of a fictitious name?

just to be clear: i don't want to hide anything. i'm happy to declare everything. but ebay banning leaves no other options. :(

so i bought the stealth guide.
i've been through every single page now.
i haven't learned anything. :(
the only reason why i bought was because of comments on this thread...
u guys specifically said i don't need to use someone else's name.

the guide makes it clear that you have to use someone you trust you allows you to use their name.

you can make with a made up name and address - but you will quickly become stuck when asked to verify.

what am i missing?

That's correct, you don't need to use someone's name, you can even use yours at a variety.

I'm not sure what you "didn't" learn from the stealth guide?

Whats hard to understand? You can use a name
variation for an account or to. If you need lots of accounts that gets harder to do.

A random name, random address and date of birth work fine. Get paid to your bank account, declare your income to the tax man.

don't get it still! not sure what i'm missing

so... let's say i use a variation of my name... how about verifying address? and giving proof of address? passport and driving licence - these would be the same right?

so... this is the bit i am missing... i assumed i could have 10 accounts in different names.

the guide promises that i can open accounts in ANY country. well... i cant really do this though can i? how can i open for USA or france or germany?

for income: not a problem - happy to pay taxes and anything else due.

You can log onto those eb sites and list there - one option. To CREATE an account on those sites, you will need country address and IP...to start...

Bank Acct with stealth name? Oh please do elaborate...
