Paypal strikes yet again.
 

I have been operating a stealth paypal account for about 4months now, its all been going well until this morning, I logged into my paypal account and I saw the alert / notification sign at the top of the screen, clicked on it and I got a message that Paypal needs more information and my account has been limited. They asked me to provide proof of address and ID. This is a stealth account, I am not sure what to do to lift this. I experienced this in October with another paypal account and my funds and all are still being held until 180 days, Has anyone experienced and can anyone tell me how I can beat this case? I don't want my money held for 180 days.

Sound like you've hit the trigger for the EU limit. There's dozens of threads on this.

If they are requesting photo ID and proof of address then that's what you'll need to provide. The alternative is to ditch the account and walk away.

What's the EU limit? also the account is stealth, not under my real name so I can't provide ID as its not my real account

If you go to the message centre in Paypal, there's a full explanation on what the EU receiving limit is and how to lift it.

Basically once you exceed 2500 euro (or GBP equivalent) they must confirm your identity.

so its not wise to use stealth account to receive 2500 or more? is there a way to get an ID made for this purpose?

You have to stay under £1650 per year to avoid this document request. Once you trigger it you must supply documents.
