taonola | 03-18-2018 08:13 PM | Paypal Said I need to call in. My account was limited and I submitted an invoice and tracking info liked they asked. I emailed them asking what the problem was and they said I needed to call in.
Stealth Account, no documentation. What do I do? Is there anyway around the call in?
If I wait 180 days does that allow me to withdrawl the money? |
nickopedia | 03-18-2018 08:17 PM | Re: Paypal Said I need to call in. They probably want to confirm your identity, so that may mean you'll get the dreaded database questions.
Actually, they might just need to confirm some items on the account. Hard to know for sure. You have nothing to lose since the account is already limited anyway.
Did you attach a bank to this account before it was limited? If not, you might have issues trying to w/d after 180 days. |
austyn12x | 03-18-2018 08:18 PM | Re: Paypal Said I need to call in. just call, worst case they deny you and close the account.
They probably just want to bug you with the annoying database questions.
It also could be ,to see what your selling. They will ask what you sell and what your goal is. If he's a dick he will ask for a ssn and id.Just act like you don't hear him and hangup.Call again after you hangup. |

What if Ignore it? Can I send another email to them? Or do live chat ? |

taonola | 03-18-2018 09:04 PM | Re: Paypal Said I need to call in. How do they do database questions if there’s no ssn attached? |

nickopedia | 03-18-2018 11:11 PM | Re: Paypal Said I need to call in. Sometimes PayPal will cross reference some of the infos you give them with public records sources. Some of the questions might be like what was the make/model of your car, former addresses, names of relatives/neighbors, etc.. Obviously if the account was created using ⊗⊗⊗⊗ details, it won't match up to any real or existing records.
Since your account is already limited, you won't be able to take your money, best case until after 180 days have gone by. Even then, PayPal might still need to verify your identity before giving you the money. |

They steal your money? |
nickopedia | 03-20-2018 03:02 PM | Re: Paypal Said I need to call in. PayPal can ask whatever they want to.
And, yes, they can steal your money sometimes. It's capitalism!
They MIGHT ask for ID before releasing funds to you after 180 days, but if they can't confirm your identity, that isn't a guarantee they will release your funds. |
taonola | 03-20-2018 03:14 PM | Re: Paypal Said I need to call in. So being I called in, and failed the database test, will they make it more likely that they will ask for ID in 180 days?
What happens after 180 days generally? Do they unlimit the account, and that's why you can withdraw? Or does the account stay limited and then they release the dollar amount? |
nickopedia | 03-21-2018 06:36 AM | Re: Paypal Said I need to call in. Sorry you failed the database questions, but obviously that's expected since the stealth info doesn't necessarily correspond to any real identity/person.
PayPal seems to be more strict with the ID requirement after 180 days lately. This is particularly true of UK account holders who have been faced with having PP keep their money indefinitely. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:52 PM. | |
