Help! Paypal asking to confirm phone number that no longer exists
 

When I try to add a new bank account, Paypal is asking to confirm phone number that no longer exists.

What do I do?

Get a free SIM wwith number included,activate it, add it to paypal and wait 2-3 months +++ for system to accept the new number

I kinda remember this happening to me before, I just waited a week and it stopped asking for my phone number. Is that possible?

It's possible but I doubt that will happen. Best course of action would be adding a new number today so it can start "aging".

Usually you can just wait a day or two and try again. I had this recently when I tried to add a new bank, i got phone request when i tried to withdraw to the new account, but if i try to withdraw to old one it works ok

Once you've already added the bank account and get a "contact request" upon a withdrawal attempt is one thing, but it's a different animal when you get the "contact request" when you're trying to add a bank account.

In 2016 this happened to me because BoA closed my accounts. Took me 7 months to add a new bank account because for the first couple months I was hoping the security check page would just go away, but it never did. Finally I added a new number, waited a few months, and was able to receive the verification text and add a new bank account.

Not saying anyone is wrong but that's been my experience FWIW.

Also had problems with adding bank accounts, the same applies for me, wait and try again.
