accessing paypal with clean proxy or ssh

Would I run into any problems accessing paypal with clean proxy or ssh? is there a way paypal can tell the difference between connections coming in through proxy or vpn?

So as long as the IP is really clean and hasn't been used before, you should be OK.

Can you vouch for the source and history of that IP address (and it's block) you will be using?

The TYPE of connection is largely irrelevant, as PayPal can't tell what you're using. Just be sure you route ALL your traffic and prevent mistakes like DNS leaks.
