iceman420 | 05-12-2018 09:49 AM | paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days this was a limited account, that got a email eligible for withdrawl.
the money was successfully sent to my bank, then two days later it was reversed by paypal somehow. i got a email from paypal saying again your account has been limited we noticed some unusual activity with your bank account.
now three days later there is still 0 balance on my paypal account. wtf
how could they do that?
the bank didnt refuse it because I had it available for withdrawl for a few days but never have a seen a completed transfer reversed so i left it alone. then bam checked it today and gone.
what can i do?! im afraid to call paypal and ask them wtf |
glacier922 | 05-12-2018 10:05 AM | Re: paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days you might be able to call your bank and say you didn't authorize this, depending on your bank. Need to do this quickly though, like right NOW!
On a side note, was the withdrawal by a lot? how much did you have in there? Sometimes I get the verify your phone number screen, which in that case, it's basically saying you withdrawing too much. If that's the case, for limited account, I try withdrawing 25 dollars one day, a few days later, 25, then a few days later, 50, then 100, then maybe 150 until all your money is taken out of that limited acct. |

or are you saying to call and suggest I didnt authorize the paypal reversal? do they have the power to double reverse?
it was a little over 3 grand... so yea large amount
and what could I say to the bank if they ask about the mis matched name? |
glacier922 | 05-12-2018 10:55 AM | Re: paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days You'd have to be a little creative on what you say to the bank. You'd have to give this a shot, with my bank, they immediately reversed it and put the money in my bank, no questions asked, thank goodness.
Yes, you have to call your bank and say you didn't authorize the reversal. Yes, usually banks have the power to reverse the transaction, I have no idea how they do it, but they can do it. I've seen them do it before.
And yes, for future reference, for paypal limited accounts, especially with large amounts, you need to withdraw slowly at a time, I'd say 50 dollars if you have 3k. Then work your way to 100 to 150 dollars.
I once had a phone verification request because i tried to withdraw 550 dollars in one go. I was like sh*t. Then I tried to withdraw 10 dollars, that went through despite having the phone verification request within the same minute.
But yes, you need to call your bank ASAP and ask if they can reverse it, otherwise, your money is probably gone. I went through this with 1500 dollars in my account, thank goodness the bank reversed it. I never withdrew large amounts in one go ever again. |

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about just telling them I was paid for crypto from person XYZ.
I cant believe paypal literally stole the money as the stealth balance is literally zero right now. unreal --- Ill call my bank and throw up a prayer
will update |
iceman420 | 05-12-2018 11:42 AM | Re: paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days bank confirm paypal reversed the funds, not issue on bank end.
what bank do you use cause chase told me 10 days and they will send me a letter to sign then they may credit my account pending 'investigation' *cringe* |
glacier922 | 05-12-2018 02:39 PM | Re: paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days I use chase too but I've been with them a looooong time. Relationship with banks matter. Next time start off slowly by withdrawing 10-50 dollars then work your way up, 150-200 every couple of days, till all money is withdrawn |
aspkin | 05-12-2018 03:10 PM | Re: paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days Geez, 3k in one go? No wonder PayPal revered the transaction.
Even with established accounts I try not to do more than 1k transfers in one go, $950 max.
I would be interested in hear the outcome when you have it. |

bjammin | 05-12-2018 08:11 PM | Re: paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days was this a bank account that was attached to your paypal prior to being limited, or did you add the bank account after the 180 day limitation was up? |

iceman420 | 05-16-2018 10:34 AM | Re: paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days bank has 'temporarily' credited the money back to my account while its being investigated. im sure sure banks hate paypal and this credit hopefully rides true. thanks @glacier922 for informing me the bank can do this! |
glacier922 | 05-16-2018 03:56 PM | Re: paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days yea no prob. Just don't do it anymore, a second time, the banks not gonna trust you anymore. Just slow withdraw on limited accounts at time. I know I saw some threads where after paypal releases your money 180 days later, just withdraw all in one go. Not recommended at all. |
aspkin | 05-16-2018 08:25 PM | Re: paypal reversed bank transfer after 2 days That's awesome to hear, good stuff! |
