PayPal Business Account: Change Name
I need to change the name on my legit business PP account. The reason I want to do it is that I don't want my new customers to associate my old business (contact name was mine) with the new business for which I would like to change the contact name (different niches but still don't want them to be associated).
I noticed that I have the option to do this here:
Profile and Settings > My Business Info > Name > Change
After following the a/m path, I am taken to a page where I have the following options:
You've legally changed your name
Your name is incorrect
Your contact name has changed
Your business name has changed
I would choose 'Your contact name has changed' and input a fictive name but I am wondering if this will trigger any red flag/ verification (I am not worried about my documents because this is a legit account, I am more worried if PP will ask the documents of the fictive person).
So the 1st question : will I have to submit the documents for the fictive person if I change the contact name in Business PP?
2nd: will the customers still be able to see my real name if I change the contact name? |
