unable to pay with my paypal balance
 

Anyone know why I am unable to pay with my Paypal balance for an item I purchased? I have a few hundred available in my paypal, but when I try to pay, it keeps showing my debit card as the only payment option? I just want to pay directly with my avail balance??

Never had this problem before. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change?

Is the balance on hold? or is it showing up as available?

Is it a subscription payment?? I see this with subscription payments where PayPal wants a valid credit card on file.

Might have something to do with the April 19th ToS update.
Hard several people mentioning issues with spending their balance - might be that the rollout of that particular part has begun.

I see it with some site payments, think groupon recently, cc required.

What does it say on the main page where your balance shows? The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I had a balance and I couldn't pay with it. If I remember correctly, there was a link to claim my money right under the balance amount on the same page. Once I clicked it, there were two options, transfer to bank or keep for purchases. When I clicked on the keep for purchases option, it asked for my social security number.

I have two accounts one I cannot use balance to pay anything and the other I can, I think the TOS changed it. Most accounts only let you transfer to bank

This is my available balance. I do have some funds on hold, but I know I can't transfer that yet.

Nope, Im just trying to pay my ebay fees like a normally do. I also have a CC on file on my paypal account.

Yup this is what it was. So now you have to either transfer it or add a SS# to keep it in the account. LOL Paypal is something else man...

I got this a few times 3-4 weeks ago, and back then I think it was a glitch, maybe not now. I was able to keep refreshing the page, or clicking the pay/buy now link again to get a new page and it finally gave me the usual paypal option instead of greyed out paypal dot and only CC enabled..

The same thing happens when I try to pay my ebay fees. I wont let me pay with my paypal balance like I usually do. Why would they want to make it hard for us to pay them? I don't get it lol.
