Issue upgrading to business account
 

With the notification to add SS or EIN.
When I choose to add EIN/upgrade to business account, Paypal just to main page without letting me submit. So I can't add EIN with this process for some reason...at least for now.

Can I just go into my profile and upgrade to business account there with EIN? There would not be a difference with this method, correct?

Is the paypal account tax limited? or you just received the notification to add tax info?

I received the notification to add SS or EIN on May 30th and this is the first notice.

I want to add EIN under the notification but when I pick EIN to upgrade to business (via this notification option), it automatically sends me back to the main page so I can't start the process there.

BUT when I go into my profile, I can choose to upgrade to business account there, is this ok to do?

Yes it is what you need to do.

When you get to the section that says you must supply the users last 4 of SS, simply use the last of your EIN.

To upgrade to Business account, when it asks for legal business name, should I put in business name + LLC at the end (like Joey Toys, or Joey Toys LLC)?

I am asking a lot of questions but I don't want to get it wrong.

If you're still stuck in a loop after doing what yankee suggested, try again in a few days. I've been stuck in PP's "infinite back to the home page loop" on two separate occasions while trying to do two totally different things in my account. Trying again later worked for me both times.

so should I put in Joey Toys LLC or just Joey Toys as the business name in Paypal?

You add YOUR EXACT BUSINESS NAME you created to paypal.

Now I upgraded.
Does Paypal take sometime before the notification to add tax info goes away? It is still there.

The notification is now gone...but I am in some deep**** now, at least I think it is. I put in wrong date of birth. I made it up and now looking at the stealth account info I was given, it came with a birthdate. Am I really screwed now?

Ok, I'm using my second EIN ever now on another paypal account. I missed this post about using the last of your ein as your ss number. I just put in a random one instead. Is that ok? Or will I be in trouble? Thanks.
