Recent change to personal PayPal tax requirements?

I have been using a stealth account I bought on this site along with the 24VC VPN service for about two years now and actually created a TIN via the IRS to bypass the tax ID requirements... I do report my earnings and I have really had no issues whatsoever... today, my PayPal account is asking for only an SSN or an ITIN.

My TIN number is still stored in PayPal, and, to my knowledge, it is still valid, but have they changed their requirements where I need to use a business account now for a TIN number to be usable?

Or is my TIN number the same as an ITIN and maybe they are simply requiring I physically re-enter the number for some reason?

Any help is appreciated!!
