I think its a big thing as simility has some horrible trigger for our community.

Thats what i read on their page:

Simility uses a multi-layered approach that detects ⊗⊗⊗⊗ IDs used during account registration.
Identify fraud patterns using various device and session-related indicators, such as time spent across pages, keyboard patterns, etc.
Use data from third-party sources to validate the credibility of user-provided information such as name, social security number, or date of birth
Use location match techniques to find fraudster’s actual location
Velocity rules flag any abnormal behavior, alerting
customers to halt or step up the scrutiny process
Intuitive link analysis flags the network of suspicious entities.

Its not about fraud.. its about they detect any stealth account easy then. As well machine learning detect human behavior. Or similarity .. might iam to far .. But i guess PP will tell that sim team what is their issues and then they look and adjust into that stealth / ⊗⊗⊗⊗ account issue :/

PayPal already has ai controls in place already....

The company bought it for merchants to now use and adjust

This is nothing new, PayPal already checks some key data of what you give them with 3rd party sources. Just expect them to step this up in the future.

Should be for other uses. e-commerce is already automated as it is. I don't think it's to kick stealthers out though, why get ai machines to kick out your paying customers?

Im sure ebay will find a way to screw it up as they do most things they buy or takeover.

Well, It's easy to detect Stealth accounts, but if you do legit stuff then they do not care. They use 3 type of Neural networks to give second chance or more chances :D It's like virtual Judge Panel vS supreme Court :)
