i made it up to 60k sales in 6 months and they're coming for my earnings now (i cant withdraw or pay for stuff until i get my info sorted out).


im not using a vpn anymore since i never had a ebay account banned, it just went below standard and become unusable.

my stealth never got linked with my main ebay account even though i accessed them on the same user account and ip address for months.


they need a social security number to match my name so im trying to change my name on my stealth paypal to my real name.

i provided them my ID as well as the bank statement for my bank account hooked to the paypal thats in my name.


is the odds good for the name change to go through? then im going to give them my true SSN so it all matches up.


im trying to go legit now after being stealth.. will they let me?

Any particular reason why you wont do the easy thing and just get an EIN...?

Listen to slokor, turn this account to business if you haven't already done so, get an EIN with LLC or S-corp and give them your business tax info.

EIN is by far the simplest way

okay i upgraded to business acc.

im a little scared about llc since there's a $800 annual fee in california.


btw my account has two limitations, so im not sure if adding an EIN will fix all my problems.

This thread is very confusing.

Real account or not?

If they allowed you to sell 60k in stuff without any previous Tax number, that is amazing! If it is an old real account, my guess is that they already have your SS from before.

See that's info you should have provided in the original post cause I changes things quite dramatically.
If I had known all that I would have said forget about it - wait the 180 days and withdraw your money.
And as yankee said your post is very confusing.
You say its a stealth account yet you provided YOUR ID and the bank statement with your REAL name on it. That alone will contradict the info on the stealth account and ensure it never gets reinstated.
And then you mention the account is limited - DOUBLE limitation. An EIN has nothing to do with resolving this situation. First you need to get the account reinstated - so I sincerely hope you did NOT apply that EIN to the account yet cause that would be a waste of a good EIN for nothing...
You need to be a whole lot clearer on this situation friend cause its impossible to offer you solid advice the way it is at the moment.

im gonna clear it up, sorry my OP was confusing.

im currently diverting all my ebay listings to a different paypal since i realize this one is in a bit of a situation.

ive never been banned by ebay or paypal. i bought a stealth account from here when my original ebay account went below standard and stopped working correctly even after it was above standard (now 6 months later its finally usable again so i dont really need a stealth ebay).

i submitted my real Id and bank statmement since i thought i could get the name changed that way since thats what they tell u to do for a full name change (i got tricked... )

anyways, none of my real info has ever been banned or anything. i have 2 other paypal accounts with my real name and info that have never had issues and have received 10's of thousands per year.

since i have real working paypals i can use with my stealth ebay i guess my goal now is to get the $2000 out of this paypal.

(i already send all items under $5 to one of my real paypals thats on microtransactions from my stealth ebay).

okay so i bought a stealth account from here and was using it fine for 6 months and had 50k in total transactions or so.

i think my brother making me sell $10,000 of silver for him a few weeks ago could've triggered these limitations. since i've never done a sale over like $150 until then.


now there's 2k sitting in this paypal that i want to get out. (im just going to use my other paypal accounts for now, i never even needed to use this one...).

Geez, seems like you rushed into mistake after mistake with this one.

I don't see your backup account lasting that long. You're on borrowed time.

Once your backup account is limited as well, I suggest rereading eBay Stealth if you haven't already and starting fresh and with a business account. That way you won't be hit with SSN or this sort of limit.

Though as you mentioned you were probably limited because of a spike of income received (high risk)

@buckwheats, with the amount of messing around and post info, you need to build backup accounts.

Have you done taxes before?

well this stealth ebay account is a nice back up for me now :)

i have paypals in my name that have been used for years without issues.

ive never done taxes but i plan to soon.

my "back up" paypals are my real ones that i can verify if need be and they've both accepted lots in sales over the last few years without issues so i think they're safe.

i Have a stealth PayPal. I hit $2500 and they asked for my tax info. I upgraded to a business account and got an EIN. Every time I log in now I get a screen asking for my name, ssn and address. What now?
