is paypal closed today? i was sitting on the phone line for a half hour.....said wait time is 11 to 16 minutes........just hung up assumed today is july 4th....maybe office is closed won't answer phone calls?

They are open every day of the year. Even Christmas (at least here in the UK)

not true, if you call after hours here in USA they will state that their offices are closed call back during regular office hours........
