Does Paypal know what site the money is coming from?
 

I have a Wix site that uses ecwid storefront. Will paypal know what site the money is coming from?

If you have linked the PP into your checkout then yes

The checkout doesn't necessarily link it. I just tell wix where to send the money. I don't login and link it. Is that a difference?

PayPal most definitely captures the referral site (URL) details during the checkout process. In fact, that's not all the information PayPal gathers- it's quite a bit, actually.

PayPal knows a lot about the transactions in most cases.

I wonder.. do people checkout directly from your wix website? Is it a custom domain?

History:

I started on gadaddy with a custom domain. That’s when I got black listed. I transfered to wix recently.

Same domain, different hosting site. And just go to Paypal to pay. I don’t think it does anything on wix.

Is there any chance I can slip through the cracks?

Most likely not. The domain is the linking factor.

Being I’ve been going 10 days with out them noticing, is that normal? Could I make it 2 months?

Could last longer than that - or could go down at anytime. Nothing is 100% with paypal...few payments in a row could trip the system...only PP knows for sure

They will catch you. I had a stealth with my own name using a CPN number. I started accepting payments to that other paypal when I hadnt logged on to that account in years. They caught me and said it was linked to the old account. My stealth had my name but I intentionally misspelled it by one letter. I added one word to the domain. When they started seeing $300-400 sales they said they were ding due diligence and linked me to the old paypal and shut it down.

I'm looking for how to stealth a website as well. I've been friendly fraud scammed with paypal, stripe, and square, and authorize. My industry is high risk because customers do that a lot. Keep product and get money also. Leaving me having to pay back huge chargeback balances.

The website has an ID that cannot be changed, PP gets that ID as part of the transaction.

A 'referral' from a website to PP for payment also gets that ID.

They will eventually cross reference it and shut your PP down. It's pretty much inevitable.
